Fifteen minutes: the ruins of Pompeii
On foot. From the house. No car, no parking, no queue.
It’s what sets us apart from anywhere on the Amalfi Coast, and it isn’t a boast: it’s geography. People who sleep in Amalfi to see Pompeii spend an hour and a half and a car park getting there. You walk out of the front door and start walking.
Three minutes: the station
Scafati’s national railway station is 250 metres away. From there Naples and Salerno are 25 minutes by train.
The Circumvesuviana line runs from the same direction, if you prefer that one.
Five minutes: the shopping
The nearest supermarket is the Sole365 on Via Leonardo da Vinci, about 450 metres away.
There are pharmacies, bars, pizzerias, restaurants and pubs a few minutes’ walk away: Domenico will tell you which ones — that’s a conversation to have in person. They change, and he knows the good ones.
The Wenner Park
A step away is the Parco Wenner, Scafati’s historic park.
